This book is a practical manual for those wishing to learn Persian, and presents a method taught since 2007 within Methodologica Universitas, which has already gave successful results. What distinguishes this book from other Persian language methods is its practice method that gives amazing results in a short time.
 
  
This method has been taught to many students at all levels and all learned Persian in just a few months and have gained a very good oral and written level.
These people have learned Persian and used it in their daily lives, at work, with their family, during their trip to Persian countries (Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan) or even for their academic studies of Iranian language and civilization.   
  
  In reality the primary motivation for the book was to provide francophones who want to learn Persian and who have no prior knowledge, a practical manual that can accompany them step by step in their learning process starting from a complete beginner level and reach an advanced level of the language.
Parlons Persan ; a practical method for learning modern Persian

In this book we decided to start teaching the alphabet which is the most important step in learning Persian. Students have the opportunity, for the first time, to learn in a practical way the Persian alphabet with pictures illustrating each letter writing.

In addition to the phonetics of the letter we presented the various forms of the letter according to its position in the word, given the fact that it could be positioned at the beginning of the word, in the middle or at the end. For this first part, devoted to learn the alphabet, we decided to assign a page to each letter and have selected Persian words that contain the letter.

If we have insisted on learning the alphabet at the beginning of this book, it is because a good command of the alphabet is the key to understanding an communicate (oral and written communication) in Persian.       
  
After mastering the alphabet, we help learners step by step, starting with the level A1. The courses in this level begin with a few sentences around a subject like family. Then there are reading exercises with phonetic transcription with Latin letters indicating the student the words in question. 
  
Then a writing exercise with the words that come to be seen. We then see the verbs used, generally at this level we limit ourselves to the present tense. The combination is completed by different examples for each pronoun. Without going into details, each course offers grammar explanation, for example, sentence structure and position of each element within a sentence.  
  
We then have a conversation of about a dozen sentences on a topic related to everyday life. Questions are then asked to work the student's responsiveness to the issues that can be used in the real life. Sentence construction exercises are proposed to give learners the necessary elements so that they find the right sentence structure . Each course ends with a bilingual glossary that summarizes all the words and expressions seen during the lesson.         
  
At the intermediate level, we start thematic courses that are put in real situations. For example, we will see what happens during a travel passing by an Iranian airport through a long conversation between a French traveler and an airport staff. After the conversation, questions are asked to ensure that the learner has seized all the expressions used in conversation . Further exercises complete each lesson to the direct application of learning. We kept the bilingual lexicon for words, sentences and verbs used in the lesson.     
  
 It should be noted that the transcript in French, which was intended to facilitate the reading has disappeared at the intermediate level but we kept the accents on words in Persian as it would help to read.  
  
The advanced level C1 and C2 are intended for students who have either passed levels A and B, or who have already studied the language and wish to improve their level and study Persian literature. The objective of this level is the study of Iranian classical and contemporary literature.  
  
For this we have chosen with great care and attention texts from works of great classical poets: Saadi, Hafez, Ferdowsi, Zakani or contemporaries such as Sohrab Sepehri, Sadegh Hedayat, Mojtba Minavi, Rasoul Parvizi, Parviz Natel Khanlari, ....
Understanding of the exercises and literary analysis complete the course as well as a bilingual lexicon of words, phrases and verbs used in the text.   
  
Thus this book fits the needs of students of all levels: from beginner to an advanced level for those who have already started learning Persian and wish to complete and consolidate it. We added additional resources that include extracts from literary works (such as Jalal Al Ahmad, Seyed Ali Salehi, Rasoul Parvizi and Abbas Yamini Sharif ) situational conversations (at the hospital or at the police station), the conjugation of a hundred verbs in Persian with translation to complete the whole precise Persian grammar for learners who have achieved the advanced level to understand and analyze the subtleties of the language.
